Perennial, stoloniferous. Culms erect, sometimes prostrate, slender. Leaf-sheaths loose, glabrous, margin thin and pilose. Ligules completely divided into two lobes, oblong, apex round. Leaf-blades pubescent, recurved, margin folded. Inflorescences comprising two terminal racemes, usually appressed back to back. Sessile spikelet: lower glume oblong, pilose on the back; upper glume boat-shaped, keeled along the back. Pedicelled spikelet: pedicel clavate, pilose along keel. Glumes: lower glume oblong-ovate, with 2 subequal wings along margins, upper glume boat-shaped, pilose on the back, margin ciliate.

Habitat

Growing on open ground in evergreen forest; altitude up to 1450 m.
